Light shoe and impressive.

These shoes are impressive because of their comfort and durability. I average about over 25,000 steps walking daily, and these shoes helped my feet. I suffer from a flat foot. I tried all kinds of walking shoes, and none have given me the comfort I need to work comfortably. So, if you are looking for a walking shoe that aids you in working, these are.

I was looking for a comfortable shoe to wear standing up all day. I decided to but a pair of these walker elite shoes, so far it’s been one of the best shoes decision I’ve made. I tournament fish, and these shoes feel like wings in y feet. They’re light, they’re supposed and they’re comfortable all day while standing on the deck of my boat. If you have knee back pain as I do, you cannot go wrong with these shoes on your feet while being active. I highly recommend them, and you’ll do the same after you put on your first pair…👍🏾🫡

Soles already worn smooth after about 35 days.

Unfortunately these shoes are already showing signs of wear badly after only 35 days, walking about 7 miles a day in them (primarily on concrete). The soles are worn smooth or ripped up and there are even some minor signs of wear on the uppers but that's nowhere near as big of a problem. I cannot recommend these shoes. Additionally I am getting blisters on the tips of my toes from these. I'm a long time New Balance customer and this is the first time I've been truly disappointed in a pair of shoes from this company.

Pretty Good

I'm a 14 4e, and this shoe has a little more room in the toe box than most NB shoes, but not much extra room otherwise. I tried a medium footbed but had to change to a thin one because there's not enough depth. I use the shoes daily in the gym, and they do pretty good on the treadmill and for training. My heels don't like marshmellowy "walking-on-clouds" shoes, and these shoes are not like that. They're sufficely cushioned but not overly so. They fit well in the heels, and the tongues are really comforable and stay in place. I'll continue to buy this shoe if NB will keep it in stock and not tinker too much with the design.

Customer in pain

Purchased this model due to the 1080 fresh foam model changing design slightly hoping to get more exterior foot support. This shoe does provide that but severely lacks in cushion support versus the 1080 fresh foam model. Unfortunately both models created back and knee pain respectively. I wish the 1080 model would not have changed. I just ordered the 880 hopefully it will work for me.

Toe Box too narrow
The Wipf

I got the extra wide 4E version of this shoe. The toe box is very narrow, not sure how you can call this an extra wide? I have a few pairs of 840s extra wide, and they fit great. If you need a 4E shoe these are not the ones for you.

Excellent replacement for the 847

The FuelCell Walker Elite is an excellent replacement for the 847. I had previously purchased and worn three pairs of the 847's. I am 6'4" and weigh about 280 lbs. I purposely walk an average of 3 miles a day. The comfort, support and durability of the 847 was great. I was surprised to learn that they were being discontinued. The FuelCell Walker Elite has filled that void. It is a comfortable and supportive shoe due to the stabilizers. The sleek and airy design (including the thinner, scooped, tongue) make it an attractive shoe. My custom orthotics fit them like a glove.
