Falling apart after wearing only twice

One of these sandals started deteriorating only the second time I wore them. I bought them for occasional use while sitting on my deck, as my household is shoe-free inside. They sit in a basket right inside the house, ready to slip on when I go outside. After wearing them for only the second time today (August 2026), I noticed that the surface on the left sandal had started flaking off in dozens of places. (See my photo.) I've experienced this before, with sandals that are many years old, but I've never seen a shoe start falling apart so quickly, when nothing about the conditions under which it was worn would cause such deterioration. I can only conclude that Kelly & Katie does not use quality materials or have high standards. I've never bought a pair of shoes from this company previously, and I can't say I would again, based on this experience. What a waste of money.

I bought these for my 22 year old daughter. She is a photographer and is always looking for something comfortable but sill professional and black! These fit the bill for her and she loves them. So glad I got them for her.

These sandals felt comfortable but it was difficult to lift the heel so it wouldn't drag while walking which I find can look sloppy. The sole is hard which makes it drag, unable to flex.
