Good for walking on hard surfaces or for hiking

Design - 7 Sizing - 7 Lacing system - 9 Laces 9 Quality - 7 Total = 39/50 Not ideal for running on the road but great for walking on hard surfaces or hiking. I recommend ordering half a size up as they may feel tight around the ankle area.

The shoes look a lot better than the picture and even more comfortable. I wore them all day and found that the comfort and fit was great, definitely being packed for our cruise.

Having put the Surge 4's through their paces on various surfaces including the track, concrete, and treadmill, I can confidently attest to their superior support and grip. Whether sprinting on the track, navigating the hard surface of concrete pathways, or enduring rigorous sessions on the treadmill, the enhanced stability and traction provided by these shoes have markedly improved my performance and confidence.

Surge 4 Running Shoes

These are my day-to-day shoes. They're comfortable right out of the box, wide enough for my medium width feet, feature conservative color combinations and designs, and they're affordable, particularly so when a holiday comes around and there's an extra percentage off. They're very consistent, too, from one pair to the next. I get the same size every time. The soles are soft and cushiony. That results in them wearing down somewhat quickly. There was a design flaw in the last version of these. The tabs for the middle laces broke easily. I noticed that was fixed in this version.

This product is of poor quality

Shoes were a little hard at first, it felt like walking on hard plastic. They did become more comfortable after about a one week break in period. The sole on the right shoe is now coming apart after just 5 weeks of use.
