Excellent Shoe

I bought this product in December 2022 and so far, its my my best shoes for all errands and walks. Once the leather relaxes, you start getting the rewards from it. Great traction on ice and protects me from slips.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I love these shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd pair. Most comfortable and incredibly durable with the premium leather. I had a pair of premium leather clogs forever, but they were discontinued. These are very close but not a clog, and still easy to slip on without any trouble. I don't even wear socks most of the time.

Feet adjusting to these new shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes had great promise to answer my problem with too much elevation of the heel. My feet would like a completely flat shoe. But the only size available in my town was too large. So I ordered online. The size is right, but my shins are having trouble adjusting to the height at the back. I'm hoping that moleskin will solve that problem. These shoes are great walkers, for hiking type environment - hilly, boulders, slippery duff. But not soft and flexible enough for continuous daily wear. And they are a bit on the mannish side. But they're wide enough for my old spreading feet, and the toe box permits me to wear a heavy wool hiking sock or not, whichever I wish.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Replaced with same after 15 years

I was very happy to find the same Timberland shoe available after ~15 years wearing the first pair. These shoes went from business casual use, overseas travel, everyday use, and finally garage and yard work. They held up extremely well and were very comfortable. On wearing the new shoes I was immediately reminded to put in the sole inserts from the retired pair. The inserts raise my ankle bones just above the outer sides and alleviate uncomfortable rubbing. Otherwise the shoes fit like gloves.

Yes, I recommend this product.

What a Disappointment--not the same shoe it used to be

I have a pair of these I bought a few years ago and absolutely have loved them so much I wanted another pair just like them. They arrived today and I am sorely disappointed. First, the color is not even close to that in the pictures. The brown is so dark I thought it was black until I looked at them in bright sunlight. Second, the quality has diminished tremendously. Third, all the padding in the shoe that made it so comfortable is now gone. Looks and feels like a $35 pair of shoes. I will be returning them and I guess shopping for some Merrells or Keens. I hope I don't experience the same disappointment when I purchase my next pair of Timberland Chocorua Trail boots.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not sure I would buy the these again

Just my first impressions, the shoe looks nothing like the pic ..... its a very plain, dark, dull brown. Super disappointed in the look. Fit was true to size. Very light shoe also, doesn't seem very solid but time will tell on that if I keep them.

This has become my "go-to" shoe for outdoor work.

I purchased the Men's Mt. Maddsen Slip-On Shoe in October 2022 about a month before a trip to Northern Ireland. I was looking for a comfortable hiking shoe. Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip-ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip-ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. After 2 years of hard use (I write this in 2024) the soles are worn, but no separation at all from the leather uppers. Very well made. (This is for the model A6660 made in Vietnam)
