I’ve never had a Performance issue with merrell.
The back pull up leather piece broke the very second time I wore them. Not sure if it had enough stitches in it leather piece.

Good light use winter boot
Good boot for going between the house and car, into a store. Why isn’t Merrell making winter boots that are higher cut for snow accumulation, in wide width? My husband's 10 year old boots are being rationed because they've irreplaceable.

a brief love affair and a snapped pull tab
Got these the first week of December and immediately loved them. Warm and comfortable. A bit hard to pull on, but I figured that ease over time. I had read reviews that said the pull-tabs were a common point of failure, so I intentionally babied those. Unfortunately, after just seven weeks of light use, the rear tab on the right boot snapped when I went to pull it on. For this price (and Merrell's reputation), the boots should last significantly longer than seven weeks! I am attempting a warranty/defect claim and will see how that goes, but regardless, this will be my last time trusting Merrell. Quality seems to have gone downhill.

Comfortable for long hikes in wet weather.
Comfortable and keep my feet dry in Seattle rain. I love long walks with my dog in the rainy forests and these are super comfortable.

Wide not Wide Enough
These boots appear to be well made but do not have a very wide toe box. I wear a 2E and my toes were pressured.

Fine but not particularly well made
The construction on these was a bit flimsy. Also, these were supposed to be insultared but felt barely more than the regular ones. I had to return for sizing issues - my really wide feet fit normal Moab’s, but not these.

Pretty good
I was looking for a slip on boot. These do that. They were a bit narrower than I expected from a Merrell wide width, but they have stretched out with use. They aren't the warmest, but I guess you have to trade something for the light weight. By that I mean they will get cold in under 20F if you're walking around in snow. Haven't had any problems with moisture getting in, though, so that's good. I've worn these for 14+ hours and they stay fairly comfortable, but I'd probably want to upgrade the insoles if I were going to do that regularly.

Great Shoe
This boot is very comfortable. Keeps my feet warm and dry in the cold Midwest winters. Boot is easy to put on and take off with the leather pull strap. I bought the wide width because my foot is right on the edge of regular and wide, and the wide may run a little big. Overall great shoe, very happy with my purchase.

COMFORTABLE SHOE
Shoe is warm and comfortable for working in my wood working shop in winter and outdoors. The wide size fit my regular foot better than the regular size.

Waterproof, warm, all day comfort w/ zero break in
Every brand of footwear fits differently. Width wise these are the most comfortable boots I have ever put on my feet. They’re light weight, easy to slip on, stay firmly in place, are super warm, and traction is phenomenal. I wish I had bought another pair while on sale. Also tried the Cold Pack 3 tall zip ups- and I find them hard to take off because they’re just so daggone comfy and fit my feet like a glove. Look forward to trying a few pairs of shoes/hikers..

Poor quality
Work for fedex, bought these and in little less than a month the bottom sole started coming apart used them in snow feet were all wet absolutely the worst pair of boots I’ve ever purchased.

Entry too small
These boots were very difficult to put on or take off. The entry was too small. Possibly a side zipper would help a lot. I sent them back.

Best Boots Ever
This is my third time purchasing these boots. I bought myself a pair and then my teen son received 2 pairs. They are warm, sturdy and just plain amazing. Love them.

Loop broke the first time of trying on.
We just got the boots today. They were for my husband. He barely pulled on the back loop and it tore loose. We will know more once he wears them tomorrow to work in.
