Didn't even get a year out of them

Bought these at shoe company December 29 2023. Today is November 12 2024. We had a small amount of rain yesterday and I now realize the bottom of the tread has worn away and literally cracked open because my foot filled with water from just walking on wet pavement. Upon further inspection, the side has split open badly on one shoe and slightly on the other.
I guess you could argue 11 months is an acceptable amount of time but I'm not exactly walking for miles here.
Just more garbage it seems... nothing lasts nowadays.

Ordered this for my father. He takes men's 7.5. I had high expectations before receiving the boots. Material is mostly leather combined with stiff canvas around ankles. It's an ankle boots. The major issue is the round was cut very narrow and small which you can't put your feet in even with help of a shoe horn. As the ankle material is a very stiff canvas which yields no stretchiness at all. I'm a women's size 7. I have to struggle to fit my foot in.. inside is a roomy men's 7.5 but stiff soles with minimal cushion support.
A straight return with disappointment.

I don't know what kind of feet one needs to have to make these comfortable like other reviews say here, but I don't have them. These are the most miserable feeling shoes I've bought in ages.
The fit of the upper shoe means you have to unlace them almost entirely to be able to fit your foot into them. There is close to zero arch support... what am I, a duck?
There is almost nothing to the soles so shock absorption is non-existent.
All of that said, they look nice.

This is the second pair of these shoes I've purchased. My last pair held up well for over two years or daily wear, and honestly are still in pretty decent shape (if looking a bit faded). The old ones still get use in the garden and trips to the mailbox, and the new pair have become my daily sneaker. As long as Timberland keeps making the Davis Square Chukka, I'll keep buying them.

My new favourite shoe

Bought these 2 months ago, and they're now my favourite shoe. At first it did dig into my ankle at the top. After 2 weeks of wearing they're perfect. I love the way they look and feel. Sprayed them with waterproofing spray and they're so easy to keep looking great. Just wipe with a damp cloth and they're good to go. Will buy an extra pair as back up

If you have a High Instep you will be Uncomfortable ... it is a mixed media construction , so stretching is unknown at the moment , you take you chances . Not the best constuction either , flat insole , no Orthotics ,creases around the ankle . My First Timberland product and my Last !

Before buying these ankle-high shoes, I wasn’t even aware of the Chukka “boot” designation. And I’m already a big fan. This Timberland “Davis Square” variety is very nicely styled, solidly built, comfortable to wear and made with good quality products. What’s not to like?
