Worthwhile
Wonderful boot. Good fit. I needed the WIDE. Wish the shoe came in WIDE as the boot may be a bit much for summer wear.

Not worth the high cost
Boots are ok. Waterproofing is questionable. 2 mile early morning walks on fire roads I still return with wet socks. Shoe laces are useless. After the first mile they need to be tied again.

Wide Width Trail Hiking Snearker
I've had my sneakers 2 weeks now and according to my stepper I've walked 156 km. I am very pleased with my purchase and over the moon to discover a wide sneaker and not having to get a larger sneaker to accommodate wide feet

Feels bigger than the size
The shoes are bigger than my other sketchers of the same size. On my first trip one shoe developed pressure point that spoiled my hikes.

Great Value!
I have the all-leather version of this boot but structurally it's the same as these. After dealing with achilles tendonitis for weeks, I happened to find these at a local retailer. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but these helped get me back on the trail and allowed the tendon to gradually heal when other boots were just pressing against the achilles. They are now my favorite hikers and, in my opinion, exceed the performance of much more expensive boots. After about 100 miles, I am seeing no durability issues. The tread pattern is good for snow and dry ground. There is enough cushion and support to keep the ankles aligned and the stones from poking through. Definitely one of the best values on the market today.

Not my favourite Merrell's
Nice looking shoes but they do seem to pinch at the top of the shoe where the rivet is. Taking a bit of time to break them in. I do like the grip and weight of the shoe

Well made, comfortable shoe.
The Wide version of this shoe fit my wide foot well - so well I was able to go down 1/2 size from regular width shoes. They are also quite comfortable and seem to be well made.

Merrell hikers
Comfortable sneaker-like feel, Fairly waterproof although it poured all weekend long so eventually nothing was dry. Very little break in required. Walked/ hiked about 6 miles the first weekend of owning (after a day wearing them at work to make sure of fit) I did get them on sale as an emergency replacement for other boots which had a catastrophic failure after only a few months. (different brand) I do like these boots. They are comfortable and as long as they last will be my workhorse boots. I had several different types/ brands of boots in the past these are the second favorite that I have owned right under a pair (vasque) that I purchased years ago but was twice as expensive. These are more comfortable out of the box for sure. Ask me again in a few years to see where they rank. If they are durable, they might get the top spot.

Love these hiking shoes
Super comfortable for long walks and uneven terrain. Water resistant and easy to clean. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect gear for hiking
Great for wide feet. The mid is slightly roomy and I had to tighten the laces multiple times during the first hike. After the adjustments they fit perfectly. Really nice support for arch to avoid pronation. They are half size bigger but thanks to the experienced sales man I got the right size.

Excellent comfort and support for my wide feet.
I love this hiking mid. They're very comfortable, durable, fairly lightweight, and provide excellent support when hiking rougher terrain. My only minor complaint is that they're a little on the tall side which gives them a slightly bulky feel, but I've already gotten used to that aspect.

Excellent Hiking Shoes
These are the nicest shoes I've ever owned. They run big, im a size 11 and a 10.5 was perfect for me. I took these on long hikes in the smokey mountains and they really were perfect

SPEED STRIKE 2
The only thing keeping these from getting five stars is the fact that they are really not waterproof at all. They fit great, very comfortable, good traction, love wearing them, but my feet get wet if going through even a little bit of moisture. Definitely would not be good for a long-distance hike through damp terrain. The waterproof claim was a big part of the decision to get these shoes, so it is pretty disappointing.

Nice shoe with a design flaw
I purchased these shoes for a trip in Portugal. I loved the colour and the design. However, there is a major design flaw with the tongue that causes extreme pain in the upper part of your foot. After wearing them for 5 days, I had to purchase another pair of shoes to continue my trip. After searching the internet, I realized this is a design flaw with this model.

Excellent running shoe
I always wear Merrell shoes. First time wearing Speed strike 2. Fit was perfect. The sole is comfy and very tough. A bit too expensive but you only get what uou pay for. Delivery was efficient and fast to the local store. Delivery was free.
