Great winter boots with a couple of issues

These boots are sturdy, warm, comfortable and not heavy, definitively great gear for winter!
Main discomfort is that the sole extends out of the shoe at the sides (just an inch fraction), which needs time to get used to when driving a car (to avoid stepping on both pedals at the same time). Also need to avoid direct friction between boot and leg as it gets uncomfortable when walking.

This is a limited review (the boots have not been tried in the filed during winter season):
- From what I can assess, the build quality of the boots is high.
- The sole has deep threads which I think will come handy on packed snow.
- The boots are light and comfortable to walk in.
- The reason for the 4 star rating is that the boot appears to be a bit short for the size, and a bit tight on the top (if you have bigger feet, you may find the pressure to be rather uncomfortable).

I bought a pair of these in December. I think they were one of the best pairs of winter boots I have ever owned. They are comfortable and provide great support with a good tread. I wear them daily for 2 - 3 hours as I walk my dog. I got these as replacement boots because the first pair formed some strange small balls between the lining and the outer boot that hurt my heel. I gave it 5 stars for comfort hoping that this pair does not develop the same defect.

Light weight, warm and comfortable. This shoe had amazing reviews which prompted me to buy it for my teenager. And it lives upto my expectations. It is indeed a warm, wide & gives good warmth in negative temperature. I suggest to get 1 size up to your regular fit. Perfect winter boots.. Highly recommended!

Great winterboots for wide feet

This is a great pair of boots. Fits my wide feet snug and comfortable, helps with my ball of the foot pain too. But these are really high, so keeps the ankle stiff and can be a bit tight on the calf. Best for heavy snow I guess, I prefer something shorter for light snow.

Underrated boot. This boot has fire resistant soles, additional foot protection and no insulation making it an excellent do anything type boot that can be worn 4 seasons compared with most of the other pro boots that are insulated and therefore too hot for summer.

Really good Winter Boots from Columbia

Excellent boots from Columbia. Used it during snow and found that the quality is really good, Proper waterproof and really good traction. Overall really satisfied with the boots. Thanks to DSW for bringing this at a killer deal price during black Friday sales.

I'm an 8.5W. I ordered these in a 9 and they're extremely tight, both length wise and width wise, which is odd, because I've worn Columbia's before. I was expecting a lot more from a boot advertising itself as "Extra-wide", but these are very visibly not wide.
