Birkenstock Unisex Honolulu EVA Flip Flop Sandal

When the Honolulu Birkenstock's were showcased in an email from DSW, I immediately ordred three pairs in yellow, pink, and black. The pink was very vribrant and beautiful but the yellow was almost like a manilla envelope. I was disappointed as I took the sandals out of the box, perhaps I missed a description in my excitement to order. Perhaps supportive but a completely plastic sandal! Of great concern was the slickness of the sole/bottom of the sandal. Very dangerous for walking anywhere except maybe on the sand. This is not a pool sandal because you most likely will slip when walking. I returned the sandals.

I bought and received these Birks about a week ago. The are just like the picture and even though these Birks are made of plastic material instead of the usual cork, they are comfortable and fit just like always. The arch support is right on target. I thought that my feet would sweat more since they are made of plastic but that does not seem to be the case. Since these are made with a formed plastics material they should last as long as my old Birks made of cork. Hopefully I will get 10-15 years out of these too.

Just received these and although they were perfect in length they were far too wide. Bought a size 6 and there is no way I could wear these without walking right out of them. The ridge on the footbed makes them uncomfortable if the fit is not perfect and being too wide they don't mold to your feet as they should. Unfortunately, I will be returning these. If you have narrow feet, I don't recommend them.

I needed a comfortable, plastic, waterproof flip flop for beach, pool and general outdoor wear that I can hose off. Bonus if it has arch support. This fits the bill perfectly. That said, they are plastic and look like it and the blue is very blue. Fashion wise, I put these a step above wearing crocs but the Birkenstock comfort and classic style with dunked footbed makes them a winner.

Initially I was thinking why pay this much for beach/pool flip flops? Because they are sooo comfortable and high quality. I had cheaper flip flops that gave me blisters whenever I wore them for any length of time. The Honolulu sandals give you Birk comfort and quality with getting your leather pair wet. Highly recommend!

Got these for the river this summer but they are 1/2 size too long. However, they will not fall off your foot or anything just goes longer than where my heel ends. I sprained my ankle and got to wear these earlier than anticipated. Worked well with the ace bandage lol
