Solid shoe.
Solid shoe. Slip resistant sole works very well even in fryer oil. Looks pretty good and easy enough to clean.

Toe Box Very Roomy, Shoe Very Comfortable
I was looking for a replacement of the original Model 813v1, and this is it. I bought one pair, the Toe Box had sufficient room for my Size 14-4E. I wore this shoe for an entire week with no problem. In fact, I enjoyed wearing this shoe so much, I bought another pair within a week. Once I notice my first pair showing any sign of wear, I'm going to order another pair.

Tight in the toe box
I started purchasing New Balance running shoes in the 1980’s because they were the only shoes I didn’t get blisters from. Now that I’m older I needed a walking shoe. Found the 608 online and with the Labor Day sale it was a great deal. Tried them on and immediately noticed the toe of the shoe seemed narrower than I expected. Ordered a half size up and it felt ok but not great. Went for a walk and the downhills felt like my toes were crunching together. Uphills and flats were ok. There’s a 30 day trial period that I may be using to upgrade to a shoe with a wider toe box.

A beneficial shoe all around
Great shoe. Very comfortable. Thank you for all the width options (6e works for me). Slip resistance is true. It was on my doctor's list of footwear that helps soothe neuromas. I highly recommend this style if you have the same foot issue as me.

Horribly uncomfortable in the heels

Slip resistant used to be good. Not anymore.
Definitely not as comfortable or as durable as previous slip resistant models like the 857 or the 626 (which I wore at work for about 10 years). And the laces are too long. I double knot them and I’m still stepping on them. After 10+ years as my go-to work shoe, I’m most likely switching. What happened?

The sneakers are great, though with feet a full size different, I have to buy two different sized pairs. The other left and right shoes, useless to me, are donated to the National Odd Shoe Exchange charity 🙂

Nice walking shoe
Great shoe for walking, true to size, light weight but seems to require slight break in period otherwise i would rate it a 5 star.

sub par
They fit okay and don't really slip, but, the comfort just isn't there. Not a great choice if you are working 8 hours or more a day, your feet are still gonna hurt.
