Not a good as they used to be

I've owned many 608's through the years, I'm very disappointed in the first pair I started wearing, the sole is starting to peel off some at the toe and the edges by where the rubber sole starts and stops

New balance stopped making the 624 they were the best most durable shoe. The 608 is an ok replacement.

This shoe is an underrated reliable winner

I was looking for a decent priced shoe under $100, had positive reviews, versatile for the office, weekends and the gym, and was comfortable without all the unnecessary cushioning those expensive shoes offer, which by the way too much cushioning on your foot is NOT a good thing. I found these in all black, because all black is cool, and for my wide size 14 feet..found these in store on the DSW website. Most stores never have wide 14s which is always a bummer, but I feel blessed to find these in store. Comfortable, not too much cushion, and wide for my feet to breathe. These are an underrated winner. 5 out of 5 in my book!

Not really 6E wide

Significantly smaller than my last pair. Exact same manufacturer and Size 17 6E wide. The sole of these is almost half an inch smaller in width. They DO NOT FIT, that isn't something that stretches. There is no "break in" these are physically smaller yet sold as the exact same size as my old ones. Don't waste your money.

Sole start peeling after a week of use!

So far so good,use this for work,comfortable until the front part of the sole start to peel,this after only a week of use!too bad because I really like the shoes it’s comfy and easy to clean,looking at the reviews and it seems I’m the only one who experienced this or did I just get a defective pair?

Great durable work shoes

Great shoe for working in multiple industries. I work in AV and it looks professional and feels very comfortable and supportive. I have flat feet so I also need to put in my inserts.

Poor lace up design; loop broke; shoe unwearable.

This model uses fabric loops instead of eyelets to secure the laces. One of mine tore loose after limited use rendering the shoe useless.
