Not like the old EVA Birkenstocks

These are not like the old EVA Birkenstocks. They feel like a hard plastic when you first put them on. They also make your feet feel hot and sticky. After wearing for a couple of weeks they do soften up a bit.

I love this sandal. They are very comfortable and easy to clean. The first pair I purchased lasted about 3 years. They started to tear along the sole by the upper strap. I replaced them and had the same problem after about a month. I exchanged them for another pair and am hoping these last. Even though they are great for walking, I stopped wearing them for my daily long walks hoping they will last longer. One other thing I experienced is when I walk fast, the toe of the shoe sometimes rubs across the sidewalk. Overall, they are so comfortable and feel great on my feet. I wish they were more durable and were less expensive.

Preparing to get another pair in different color

I bought a pair in the green color. They are very light and comfortable. A little embarrassed when the cup at the heel sometimes makes noise. Also I almost got tripped in the hotel where have thick carpet. Now I only wear them on hard surfaces.

Great waterproof summer sandal
