Teva Men's Hudson Sandal

when they put on I had to remove the whole strap and the truth almost did not reach to close

This is a size 12 Hudson Sandal but the straps are short, especially the front. The result is that the exposed "Hooks" of Velcro grab clothing and upholstery. To make matters worse, the Velcro only overlaps about 1/2 inch making it prone to come undone. I must say that these sandals are very comfortable and are OK around the house and shopping trips, but I wouldn't take them very far on a hike. You will have to come up with a way to cover the exposed Velcro and secure the straps.

I have purchased over 6 pairs of these sandals. In the past year I have had three pairs, all about a year old, "fail" in the same area on the front toe strap (picture from one pair included in this review). My conclusions are, either I am a sandal "power user" and beat the heck out of them (very true) or Teva had a bad run of glue and materials. Or... both... yeah... why can't we have both??? Looking to purchase another two pairs of Tevas today. Go figure.

I like the shoe except that the hooks on the Velcro on the middle strap extend way to far. I ruined a pair of socks by crossing my feet and snagging the material with the Velcro. Very poor design. I was able to scrape off most of the offending hooks but did some damage to the strap in the process.

Unassuming style, comfortable even for my wider fitting feet (I run more 12W but mostly wear 13). Can't shake the feeling that something is missing from this being the perfect pair. It might just be the strap on the heel is a little low for me, so I constantly have the feeling that the back of my feet are going to slide out, especially when going up steps. Maybe this will improve as I adjust them further and break them in some more. I purchased these online during a sale, and couldn't beat the deal, but if I tried them on at the store they wouldn't have been my first choice.

I brought this a month ago and am so happy with it. Very comfortable for both taking long hikes or casual walking. True to fit, would highly recommend this shoe

After 3 months of wearing w/o any strenuous activity. 2nd pair I've gone through. Really unfortunate, a handful of brands I had been loyal to

I ordered a size 12, as all my sneakers and boots are 12, Maybe I should have ordered size 11, the sandal measures 13 inches heel to toe, I can see one inch of sandal protruding beyond my heel, however that being said, when I slip them on, I don't notice (feel) the extra length and they are very comfortable. I can run with them as the straps keep them secure to my feet. Tough sole, generally seem sturdy built. I often do my daily walks with it, (30 mins a day) up hills and across dirt roads, they don't seem to pick up gravel as I walk.
