My Favorite!!

I have worn Freah Foams for about 3 years and they are a comfortable, sturdy, long lasting running shoe. I used to wear Hokas, which I loved for comfort, but the soles never lasted very long. I was wearing the FF 1080’s, but took a step back to the 680’s because they were 1/2 the price of the 1080’s and almost as good. I’m not running as much and I wanted a shoe that I could wear to classes at the gym and keep a little cleaner! Still wear my 1080’s outside to run and walk, but these are so great for walking and gym. I had to go up a 1/2 size in these, as opposed to my 1080’s, which was weird, but no big deal.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I hope this version is better

I purchased the 680v8 and have only been wearing the shoes for 6 mos. The padding in the collar was insufficient causing friction and discoloration of the skin behind my ankle.

No, I do not recommend this product.

V9 very different than previous versions

I have been getting 680s for the last few years and they have been consistently comfortable with no need to go to a store to try on. Unfortunately, the v9 fits completely differently to the previous versions such that it might as well be a different style shoes altogether. They are extra roomy, less cushioned, and, the thing that makes they impossible to wear, is the side of the shoe is now digging into my ankle bone because it is several millimeters higher than the previous versions of the same shoe. I'm so disappointed because I loved not having to shop for sneakers every time I need them - I could just order the same shoe and size with no fuss before - now it's back to a whole order/return or find time to go to a store.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for being a longtime 680 wearer. We're sorry to hear the v9 fit so differently from previous versions, with the roomier fit, reduced cushioning, and higher collar causing discomfort around your ankle. We understand how frustrating it is when a trusted style no longer fits as expected, and if you'd like assistance finding a comparable option, please contact Customer Care and our team will be happy to help.

Fun at first, but painful later

Bought these shoes because I forgot mine out of town. Decided to try a new brand, was told these are great for high-arch feet and very cushiony..."orthopedic recommended". Did my normal 10k walk and I'm totally out of it the next day. Feet are SO sore, and my arch hurts, for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, I wore these outside, so I can't even exchange them. Indoors around the house, they were great. I don't even have the cash for a new pair so I'm stuck.

Hot Spot - Ouch!

The cushion and support on these shoes is great. That part is very comfortable. I broke the shoes in on several long walks. Then, after wearing the shoes for an 8 hour work day, I had 2 dime-sized spots on the inside of my ankles that were rubbed raw just below where the bone protrudes. Ouch! I'm not sure if I'll be able to wear the shoes again without using moleskin or thick socks that cover my ankles, which I don't like to wear. This design definitely needs work.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry to hear the collar rubbed your ankles raw after a full workday. While the cushioning felt good, that irritation is not the experience we want for you. Please contact our Customer Care team with your order details so we can review the issue and help with a solution, including alternatives with a softer collar or fit adjustments.

Wide is not wide enough

Hello Shoe Lovers, The toe box could be roomier, brought an 11 wide my usual size. I decided to try a different style New Balance (NB) 680 instead of the 520 NB, which are roomier and have no problems with an 11 wide. The possible feet slightly swelling when moving around for a while appears to be causing the need for the extra room. I also wear the thinnest socks. A key take away, If they fit just right, suggest to sizing up.
