My 9 year old is crushing hikes and rock climbing up to 5.6 in these shoes. They are holding up structurally and showing very little tread wear.

Wore out quick.

Fell apart fast
The laces broke and they fell apart way faster than shoes usually do. The warranty doesn’t cover laces. Do not recommend.

Looked nice, wore terribly
Undersole wore out in about two weeks. Front toe also started to come unglued. The fastest we've gone through any shoe. Nothing special or wild was done during this time either.

Broke Within a Month
Bungee lace broke within the first month. I’m trying to find a replacement, but I don’t even know if it’s possible to replace. Disappointing.

Do not last
Don’t hold up well. My son wore these for a month and the bungee laces snapped, unlike earlier versions of this shoe they are sewn into the loop so you can’t just change the bungees. They are very torn up for a month of wear. I have filed a warranty claim.

My 6 y/o daughter picked these out and absolutely loves them! The adjustable lace makes it easy for on and off, but tight enough for activity!

Don’t hold up well
Our daughter loved the way the shoes looked and felt. Unfortunately, the soles were detaching in spots about 1 month into wearing.The soles themselves wear down extremely quick. Printed details on the uppers were also wearing off. Photos taken after 3 months of wearing maybe half the days. The last 2 pairs of Merrells we’ve bought for our kiddo haven’t held up well at all. We had a great experience the pair before that, and wanted to think the last pair not holding up was a fluke, so gave them another chance. Unfortunately, after another pair falling apart, we’ll likely be moving to another brand

Terrible Quality
I should have listened to the other reviews. My daughter has only worn these for two months and the treads on the backs and sides are nearly all gone. There’s also a hole in one of the heals and the bungee laces are way too long. My family has brought many Merrell products. These are very disappointing and by far the worst.

Not durable at all
These shoes fell apart faster than any other pair I’ve ever seen. My daughter started complaining that one of the toes was peeling open after wearing them to school for one week. Within the next week both shoes were doing it and multiple seams were coming apart.

Meh
The shoes look very cool and the fit well but my daughter complains that the tread is slippery on surfaces like the gym. Also, the bungee cord (instead of laces) is soooo long that she tripped on the excess and skinned both knees.
