Birkenstock Women's Madrid Big Buckle Sandal

These sandals are really cute..they are comfy and look good however the top part like someone else said starts hurting the top part of your foot but its not the buckle its the part under the buckle that after wearing it for a while, which for me was half a day, it made the top of my foot hurt so now its sore and I thought maybe If I wear with socks to break them in it might be ok but it still hurts :( So unfortunately I might return cause I don't want to hang on to them past the return day and not be able to wear them... Now if your feet aren't sensitive like that on the top totally get them.. Worth it and they look super cute!!

Love the big buckle Madrid. I own 2 pairs of these sandals from prior years before they had the big buckle and they still look great after 3-4 years. They fit great, feel great and look cute! You can dress them up or down. I think they look more feminine than the Arizonas. I can wear them to the beach, camping, gardening or just to look cute. Get them dirty, wash them off. I take my dog swimming at the lake and I wear them in the water. They have the same footbed as all other Birks and are very lightweight. 5/5

Love Eva Birkenstocks. These make the outfit more elevated and elegant while practical. Can even make a beach outfit look elegant. I love Eva’s when my feet are tired. I thought them to Rome and they are nice but they got caught in too many cobblestones making it hard to walk. This style takes more time to break in with rubbing then the Arizona style comes naturally soft I think. But these fit like a glove!

Madrid Big-Buckle is my go-to sandal. I have a pair at home that I wear for evening strolls and Saturday outings. And I have a second pair at the shop where I work. The smooth leather footbed is simply unbeatable, providing optimal comfort and support. The lightweight, foam-like plastic sole provides excellent cushioning, shock absorption, and flexibility, making my Birkenstocks comfortable, springy, and feel "cloud-soft." Because they only have one strap, I can easily slip them on and off when visiting someone on Saturdays and taking my Birkis off at the door. And that single strap is leather, not vinyl or plastic. At the shop, the buckle makes it easy to tighten the strap if I'm wearing pantyhose, or loosen it if I'm barefoot. Since I'm on my feet all day in the shop, I really appreciate being able to slip out of my heels and into my Birkis every now and then when I'm behind the counter. But of course, I wear my heels when I go to the front of the counter, run errands, or go outside for a quick cigarette.

True to size! Cute! This color goes with everything! I love how I can walk thru grass, a little mud and easily rinse them off! Very comfy! The adjustable buckle is very helpful for finding just the right fit!

I can’t wait until the snow melts to wear these. Single strap dresses them up versus double straps in the Arizona. Color is versatile as well. Buckle is large, but not tacky.
