Well-made shoes but US size is not accurate at all

Despite being low shoes these have super comfy and cushioned soles. The upper is a really nice suede. My only issue is sizing, these are far too long for me and my heel slips out when moving. DO NOT follow your standard US size when ordering. The chart is not accurate for US sizes, I'm normally an 8.5 US (39 EU or 25 JP), the Adidas chart puts me at a 7.5-8 US based on my EU size. I am planning on returning these in-person at my outlet and ordering an 8 instead.
