Material look very cheap

I’ve purchased Steve Madden shoes before, with a great deal of satisfaction. I’ve purchased shoes made of synthetic material before, that look fairly decent. But these shoes just look like cheap, stiff takeout container plastic. I know for the price, I shouldn’t expect too much. But these look, really, really cheap. On the plus side, returning them in store was very easy, and the associate was great.
