Falling apart after 5 days

5 days old and falling apart already. I am beyond shocked. My kid has been begging me for NB shoes to match his NB wearing parents. I got him these, which he picked out and loves. Day 1 he complained of pain on the bottom of his foot. Day 5, the toe runner is coming unglued already. I cannot recommend new balance shoes for kids.

Awful sneaker quality

I ordered these sneakers for my son on January 21st. It’s now March 24th and the front part of the shoe has peeled back and the Velcro won’t stay together. Far too expensive to be completely useless after two months of wear. My son is on the autism spectrum and need adaptive closures to be able to put his sneakers on himself and I was hoping these would be our go-to but I’m not wasting any more money on new balance sneakers.

Major issue with velcro straps

As other reviewers (this shoe is reviewed on other sites), I had the same issue with the velcro no longer adhering anymore soon after purchasing. The fit (wide) and comfort were great and if the straps held up, I would've given the shoes 5 stars. One of the velcro straps stopped gripping after a couple months and a few weeks later bother straps flap around rendering the shoes useless to us.

Velcro strap is weak

The shoe itself is great, no complaints. The problem is the Velcro strap. My daughter uses these as indoor shoes at school, with minimal wear & tear and these shoes are just not holding up. The strap detaches as she’s walking, making the shoe loose and potentially dangerous. I’ve had the same issue with another pair purchased in-store. We are less than a month in and the velcro needs to be replaced. We generally love NB shoes, the whole family wears them, but this is disappointing as the quality is just not there for something so basic.

Falls apart right away

Very very poor quality. Kids shoes don’t last as long as adult shoes, but these set a new record for quickly falling apart. The velcro stopped working within 2 weeks. The bottom started peeling off a week later. A few weeks later the inside heal started to come apart and now plastic pokes my son in his heal. We’ve been buying NB for awhile but I think it’s time to find a new brand that actually last more than a month.

Vector sucks!

I hate to write a negative review but this is so frustrating!!! All three of my kids shoes velcro failed to work after couple of months. Shoes are comfortable and kids love it but this seems like a recurring issue with many lines of New balance.. this should be resolved ASAP!!!!

My 8yr old loves them. Says they felt really light, and comfortable. He has wide feet and has sensory issues, so it’s not easy to find shoes that are comfortable for him. New Balance is our new favorite shoe brand!
