Merrell Men's Jungle Moc Wide Width Slip-On

Just prior to leaving for an Around-the-World trip, I purchased a pair of the Black Jungle Mocs go go along with my Gunsmoke version. I ordered a wide version for comfort. I wore them in 9 countries and they performed well and after a good brushing, look as good as the day I got them.

I love this style so much that I keep buying different colors and, of course, replacing them when they wear out. On most days, work or general life, I wear Jungle Mocs.

I loved the shoe, extremely comfortable, but after limited wear, they started falling apart.

The Moc was designed to wear on normal trail surfaces and be stable in loose gravel or dirt. They resist slipping even if the surface is wet. I find the elastic side links to be good for modest slopes but not so much when on steep surfaces. S good value for general outdoor activity.

I’ve had the shoes for a few years. Definitely not worn everyday but the sole of one and heel are just about worn through which will leave a hole I’m a senior I can’t afford to buy another pair sadly

Just received my new Merrell Mocs and I absolutely love them. Light, comfortable, and stylish. This is my new go to everyday footwear going forward.

I've owned two pairs of these. The first ones I loved (5 star) and the second pair not at all (2 star). But I suspect the second pair may have been a really good knock-off. The question to anyone who just purchased these, how firm is the back entry behind your heel? I've had two pairs. On my good ones, there was a plastic insert in the heel that made it very firm and easy to get into. In the "bad" pair, the back was soft and you could fold it into the shoe with a finger. The good pair I had for years. The bad pair fell apart fast. Here are two photos. If anyone has time, see if you can push the heal into the shoe like these photos, I'd appeciate it. I'd like to buy a new pair but don't want to get another "bad" paiar.

I have lost count but I just ordered what is probably my 10th pair of these. All Gunsmoke. I know, really boring. I also ordered a different model in black, so my family will be happy. I had bad plantar fasciitis a number of years ago; I'm no Dr (and not based on any claim of Merrell) but the shoe seemed to help. So I haven't stopped wearing them. I have a closet full of other shoes, of course. But I have worn these just about every day for my casual shoe for a number of years. I wear them out! My two cleanest pair stay in the house and the next best three 'wearable' pair are in the garage for yard work, mowing, pouring rain... (pic attached).
