Quality downhill

I bought this bag a couple of months ago and it already as a huge tear in the side. I am not rough with my bags. Jansport quality has gone downhill - I noticed this when the bag arrived. It doesn't feel as sturdy as the one my husband owns that is 30 years old without one rip in it. This bag didn't make it half a year. I would suggest another brand or retailer even as DSW will not assist you with a return or exchange for a defective item.

To me, JanSport is a classic backpack brand. All the backpacks that I have previously owned by this brand are quality backpacks. The design is great. There are different compartments, which help with organizing and keeping things separated. The shoulder straps are comfortable. The bag can be easily stored when not actively in use.

Classic Brand

Jansport has been around since I don’t know when. I used them back when I was in school in the 90’s. My daughter needed a replacement and she wanted a black one. The only thing I would complained about is that the side pocket is partial mesh. I can’t stand mesh pockets because they eventually tear. My daughter is happy with it.

I bought this for my daughter for her sophomore year, she loves it. She usually goes for Nike backpacks but she chose to get a Jansport this year. She says it’s more comfortable on her back and seems to be more durable than her backpacks in recent years.
