Overall Too Tight
The shoe runs short and the toe box is very tight. My toes felt cramped, even with my narrow foot. Sadly had to return them.

Super comfortable
These shoes are very good. I am pregnant and have swollen feet so needed something roomy and comfy. This fits my needs to go on hikes without being uncomfortable.

Comfortable ,with good width. I bought a 1/2 size bigger ,as I always wear extra socks in the winter. I can feel the cushioning in the heel and midsole ,which I need. .

Great walking shoe
Parcel arrived as expected, sneakers were what I wanted and fit well, I did need to stretch the top of the shoe to accommodate a slightly enlarged great to joint but that seems to have done the trick and they are as comfortable as my last pair.

Comfortable so far
Nice looking and comfortable shoe. I've worn it around the house in an attempt to break it in and have had no problems. Fingers crossed that out on a real hike it doesn't cause any problems!

Great lightweight hiking shoe! To be perfect the shoe would need a higher arch in the insole for my foot.

Trailing
I purchased these ahead of time for my up coming cruise to Alaska next year. I purchased the 9 1/2 as it was the only size available. I normally wear a sized nine. I walked around the house in these shoes, they feel comfortable with the thick socks. If you intend to walk a lot especially trail walking or hiking I recommend you get them 1/2 size larger and wear with thick socks for comfort and possible swelling of feet after long day of walking the trails. The size nine would have been uncomfortable as my toe would have been pressing against the foot of the shoe with no wiggle room. I recommend these shoes.

My second pair. Probably won't be my last.
This is my second pair of these Columbia hikers; the original pair have been worn down to being "gardening shoes" so I needed a new pair for daily walking. These have been great because they fit my high-arch foot much better than other brands. The heels stay in place without slipping (and blisters), and there is enough cushion underneath to keep my foot happy. I prefer a shoe like this, with leather areas on the upper to give stability to the actual shoe unlike so many of the fabric shoes that offer little support or structure across the sides and toe of your foot. These are my go-to shoes when I just want to do a serious walk/light hike and don't need to go for a full coverage hiking boot.

Immediately Comfortable
I was looking for comfortable walking shoes for an upcoming vacation that would require long walking days. I tried 4 different brands and found this to be the most comfortable. They do not require a break-in period.

NOT WATERPROOF
The show fit good and is sturdy. However, the main reason I purchased this hiking shoe is because it is supposed to be waterproof. Not true. Wore it in a field that was wet (so not even in pouring rain) and the top of the shoe became wet top front, and it soaked through- thought Columbia was a good brand and their advertised features could be trusted. I also purchased a Columbia waterproof raincoat - guess I need to test that now.

I bought these hiking shoes because I needed more support. My feet immediately felt better. They run a bit wide which works well for me. They fit well and are great for walking/hiking!

Great hiking shoe!
These have been great shoes! I am on my second pair and have used them not only for walking my dog but also for hiking many national parks They don't scream hiking boot which is nice that you can wear them on the trail and then to a casual restaurant! They have a removable insole which allows me to use my orthotics! I am replacing because after hundreds of miles walked I have worn down the treads!

Best walking/hiking Shoes!
I purchased this in preparation for our first trip to Rome. I heard how there would be a lot of walking involved and being that I have a bad back, I wanted to be as ready as I could. These shoes did not disappoint! They were extremely comfortable! At the end of the day, everything else would be aching but never my feet! Best purchase!
