I got these to replace another pair of Clarks that I had in a similar style. I like that it has (good) laces. This is the first pair of shoes that I've owned where the insoles are glued in with such a strong glue that I can't remove them for the life of me to put in my orthotics. (I don't think anyone is wearing these on boats.) As a result, they're not very comfortable for someone who walks everywhere and takes transit. If you drive everywhere it may not matter. Also, I did first aid recertification in these and I had to be on the floor doing compressions and somehow two marks formed on the top of the each shoe where the shoe flexed in those parts. I don't know why this happened but I don't like it. Maybe it will disappear with more time but it's already been almost two weeks.

Purchased these for my husband. He was looking for a new pair of casual shoes. When they arrived, he put them on said they were comfortable and required no break-in time. A solid purchase at a fair price.
