Light and warm

These are very sturdy boots - a little stiff at the top, but not unusual for a boot. The only issue is if you have to bend or kneel it's a little hard to do but again - not unusual for a boot. They are easy to tie and fit to your foot/ankle. They have a nice look to them and appear to be very well made. Haven't tested them in the snow yet but they had great traction in the mud. They washed up very nicely - I just used a soft brush and water and they look just like new. I got the for my 12 yr old and he is extremely sensitive to anything sticking out or rubbing his feet and he wore them without complaint so they must be awesome!!

So I'm a crossing guard. I bought these on sale in a DSW store near me. The boots are very stiff so ankle support is great. I'm usually a size 9 but went with a 10 for extra room for thick socks. I first wore these in 17° weather and my feet nearly froze. My next shift I added thicker socks and that helped a bit. My feet weren't exactly warm though. I can't say if these are waterproof or not though. I wear a different boot on days it rains. I rated these a bit over average. Had they kept my feet warm in temperatures as advertised, I'd have rated them a 4 maybe 5. But for warmth I was hoping for more

They feel comfortable and strong. Don't wear them enough (they're snow boots) to give them 5 stars so that's why they get 4 starts. The boots are VERY insulated so although foot is nice and snug, the boot is very big on the outside. Got a size bigger.

Needed to replace my boots, and these feel modern and so durable. They're a little tight in the toe, but I think it is just the design of the shoe, to be secure, so I ordered a size up. Can be worn with thin or thick socks. Very durable.

Great winter boots with a couple of issues

These boots are sturdy, warm, comfortable and not heavy, definitively great gear for winter!
Main discomfort is that the sole extends out of the shoe at the sides (just an inch fraction), which needs time to get used to when driving a car (to avoid stepping on both pedals at the same time). Also need to avoid direct friction between boot and leg as it gets uncomfortable when walking.

I have a really hard time with any kind of Shoe or Boot as I have to wear an Orthotic insole so I ordered a size 9 at first seeing they were wide but they were a bit too tight at the instep with my Orthotic so I ordered a size 10 but the size 10 was too big length wise & they didn't have a 9-1/2 available so had to return them. Aside from that they were comfortable & very light & for the width it was plenty wide I found even with my Orthotic insole. If they would have had a 9-1/2 I think they would have fit & I would have kept them.

This is a limited review (the boots have not been tried in the filed during winter season):
- From what I can assess, the build quality of the boots is high.
- The sole has deep threads which I think will come handy on packed snow.
- The boots are light and comfortable to walk in.
- The reason for the 4 star rating is that the boot appears to be a bit short for the size, and a bit tight on the top (if you have bigger feet, you may find the pressure to be rather uncomfortable).
